Energy effective glass
The U-value changes with which glass construction is used. In each product group there are several different alternatives from a U-value of 1.3W/(m²K) to below 0.8W/(m²K).

Aluminium window inwards opening
Ekstrands' inward-opening windows are also available with aluminum cladding on the outside. The window has the same properties and functions as our wooden windows. Ekstrand's aluminum cladding is more advanced compared to other products on the market. The profile is insulated and glued to the glass to break thermal bridges and increase burglary protection.
A high-performance window with double or triple sealing strips, adapted for both private villas and apartment buildings where extra high demands are placed on the climate shell. The window can be integrated into the wall with over-insulation of the frame, this increases the thermal insulation capacity and provides optically narrow profiles. The smart German fitting technology means that the sash can be folded into a ventilation position without having to move flower pots. The sash is 3D adjustable, has break points on all four sides and built-in microventilation. A wide range of options means that the window can be adapted for both classic and modern architecture.
The window can be integrated into the wall with over-insulation, U-value calculations and drawings for more installation situations can be provided.

There are several different options to choose from at Ekstrands, here we show some of the most common.
Solar protective glass
Solar protective glass is used when you want to prevent radiant heat. We offer a number of different options.
Safety glass
Safety glass is laminated or tempered glass. Tempered windows are used for personal safety and laminated windows are available in a number of different classes for burglary protection.

Sound reducing glass
Trains, car traffic, city buses or other disturbances can be reduced with the right choice of glass combination. Reductions of 36, 37 or 40dB can be achieved with sound reducing glass. Ekstrands also has a tested sound reducing window, EC/90 SR46.
Window sill 16 mm
This window sill is 16mm thick and available with straight or rounded corners. Upon request, we can also produce specially adapted window sills.
Window sill 30 mm
This window sill is 30 mm thick and available with straight or rounded corners. Upon request, we can also produce specially adapted window sills.
Window sill profiled
This profiled window sill is 30mm thick and available with straight or rounded corners. Upon request, we can also produce specially adapted window sills.
Oak window sill
This window sill is 30mm thick and is available with straight or rounded corners. Upon request, we can also produce specially adapted window sills.
Glass strip straight or profiled
You can choose between straight or profiled glass strip on the inside. As standard, this window is equipped with profiled glass strip.
Ventilation
Window ventilation is a complement to the house's ventilation and air supply. We offer Biobe 30 which is delivered loose for assembly on site. An external grille is also mounted on fixed windows, on openable windows the air intake is open between the frame and sash, not visible from the outside.
Insect screen
An insect screen that is very practical and takes up minimal space when not in use. The color of the profile is white RAL 9010. On balcony doors, the insect screen is pushed sideways. Choose between 4 different nets: Plastic fiberglass is standard (gray net), Clearview (black net), Pollen reducing (black net), Blackout (white fabric)
Spacers
Color selection on spacers between glass is an important detail on windows that many do not think about. White is standard on white windows and gray on all others. The following colors can be chosen at no extra cost: White 9016, gray 7035, gray 7040, brown 8004, brown 8016, black 9004.
Blinds
Is white as standard and is available in two models, standard or design. Also available in silver or black.
Design blinds
The design blind is white as standard.
Pleated blinds
Pleated blinds with string lock on the left or right side. Available in several different fabric materials and colours, even as blackout. Also available as a handle model.
Child safety locks
We can offer child safety locks for windows, for example HOPPE KISI2
Low threshold for inward opening door
Low threshold for inward opening door. Note that dreh-kip function is not possible when selecting this threshold variant. The threshold also does not have a natural drainage, in extremely exposed situations where the door risks rain or larger amounts of water, standard construction should be considered. Threshold has a broken cold bridge.
Ventilation fittings 1236
Ventilation fittings 1236 is available in chrome and brass. Available for inwards opening windows.
173:an / Atlantic
It's called the 173 for doors and Atlantic for windows. A classic hammered decorative glass.
Cotswold / Kura
This glass is called Cotswold for doors and Kura for windows. A classic decorative glass with vertical patterns that was very popular in the 50s and 60s.
Etched / Decormat
Frosted glass for reduced visibility. It is called etched on doors and Decormat on windows.
Unknown Item
A striped decorative glass with clear glass. Lined glass clear is called on doors and Flutes for windows.
Niagara
Decorative glass Niagara is the same name for doors and windows. It is glass with a vertical pattern that resembles a waterfall.
Clear glass
Clear glass is standard on most of our products if nothing else is specified.
Fixed window
Fixed windows are suitable where there isn't a need to open the window. They can be delivered in considerably larger dimensions than opening windows. A fixed window consists only of a frame and allows more natural light to come in than through opening windows. Keep in mind that the fixed and opening windows have different optics. This makes the alignment of the glass, and in some cases astragals and glass dividing bars, differ. Fixed windows can also be delivered as gable windows in curved angles. Note that fixed windows are not mounted with screws, but with mounting brackets. These are not included in the delivery.
Side-hung inwards opening window 1-sash dreh-kip
An inwards opening side-hung window with a ventilation function and micro-ventilation in the fitting. The construction makes it possible to manufacture the window in larger measurements than what is normally possible with opening windows. Can be delivered as 2-, 3- and 4-sash windows.

Inwards opening window bottom-hung kip
Bottom-hung and inwards opening windows for spaces or sizes where the side-hung tilt and turn windows won’t fit. For example, basement windows or windows in small rectangular shapes. The ventilation function is a smart solution that disconnects so that the sash can be opened inwards when cleaning.
Inwards opening balcony door dreh-kip
Inwards opening balcony door with ventilation function and micro-ventilation in the fittings. As standard it’s delivered completly glazed. It’s becoming more common with this type of balcony doors because they let in more light. There are optional insulated fillings and astragals in several variations. Balcony doors are supplied in most widths and heights. Different handles with locks and safety espagnolette WK2 are available options.

Inwards opening balcony door with a smart ventilation function and micro-ventilation in the fittings. Balcony doors are available in most width and height measurements and customized according to customer requirements.
Curved & semi circular windows in wood /aluminium

U-value 0.78 The wood/alu window has a triple-glazed window with a U-value of 0.5W/(m²K) as standard. The U-value of the entire construction is 0.78W/(m²K).

System 78 wood/aluminum
Wood/Aluminium can be delivered with a triple-glazed window and then has a U-value of 0.9W/(m²K). This provides slightly better thermal insulation and edge zone temperature, but poorer daylight transmittance and solar energy transmittance (G-value) than double-glazed windows. Which glass to choose depends on your needs.
System 68 wood/aluminum
U-value 1.2
Ekstrands wood/aluminum window with a double-glazed window has a U-value of 1.2W/(m²K). The window is classified as energy-efficient and is in many cases good enough. Choosing the right glass and U-value is complex, a double-glazed window has, for example, better daylight transmittance and solar energy transmittance (G-value) compared to a regular triple-glazed window. What to choose depends on what you prioritize, energy saving, comfort, sun protection, etc. Ekstrand tailors each window to the customer's needs. Contact us and we will tell you more.
Ekstrands standard colors
We have a number of selected standard colors that are developed for optimal light and weather resistance, these are classic comfortable colors that do extremely well on exterior doors. Feel free to visit our exhibitions to see the colors on doors in real life.
Optional colors
Ekstrands can paint in all colors. We recommend RAL as these colors are adapted for outdoor use. Windows can be delivered with different colors on the inside / outside. We offer full warranties even on black windows.
alu structured matt
We offer a selection of colors with a matt structured surface on aluminum cladding. These are pleasant colors that work extremely well on aluminum windows. Feel free to visit our exhibitions to see the colors in real life.
Anodized aluminium
Ekstrands can also offer anodized aluminum surfaces. The colors are reminiscent of bronze and graphite and fit today's modern design with natural material choices and color scheme with earthy colors. Anodised aluminum has variations in shade and there may be shifts within one and the same delivery. If you like the color that the anodizing gives but can not accept the natural color changes, then there is also a powder coated color that should mimic the anodizing.
Standard white & Neutral white
Our standard white is slightly broken. Ekstrands can also supply neutral white or any color.

SPA: Removable aluminium astragal
SPA removable aluminum astragals on the outside. The astragal is removable, and is delivered mounted on the window.
WSPA: Vienna astragal wood/alu
Vienna astragal wood/alu is an exclusive astragal in wood on the inside and aluminum on the outside where the astragal is glued on both sides of the glass with an aluminum profile between the glasses. For 2-color painted windows, this is the best option. Works best with 2-glass panes.
ASP: Aluminium astragals
Aluminum astragals between the glasses are mainly used on aluminum-clad windows and PVC. Delivered as standard in 26mm width but available in several designs and colours. Works best with 2-glass panes.
GDP: Glass dividing bar
Ekstrand's glass dividing bars are genuine. We divide the glass pane, which gives a wooden post on both inside and outside. Delivered in 58mm or 78mm width (84mm on PVC).
