Sweden's first container house
The Swedish Herring House
The Swedish Herring House is a groundbreaking example of modern Swedish architecture where sustainability and creativity are at the center. Located by Lake Sommen outside Tranås, this is Sweden's first home built from recycled shipping containers. The facade is clad in corten steel with a pattern that resembles fish scales, which not only provides a unique aesthetic but also a natural patina over time. The Berg 160 Argent front door contributes to the unique character of the house. The door's surface has a metallic sheen with touches of rusty tones, which creates a natural and vibrant feel and fits perfectly with the house's facade.
