Fire and sound door with hidden frame and fixed upper block

Architect designed office Jutland

GRAS architects have created a 12,500 m² new office for one of Scandinavia's major companies in Jutland, Denmark. The modern architecture is embedded in nature and the indoor environment is stripped back with natural materials and earthy colors. The doors play a central role in the architectural expression that the environment creates.

Ekstrands has mastered the extreme technical challenges that were required for the project. The doors are in many cases 3.5 meters high, with permanently mounted upper blocks, double doors and hidden frames. The fittings are hidden and some of the doors are also equipped with electronics. The major challenge has been that the doors also have high fire and sound requirements and must be delivered with certification, something that Ekstrands has mastered. The wide range of fire and sound doors that Ekstrands offers gives architects and developers new opportunities to create unique environments
