Ekstrands invests in renewable energy

With rising energy prices and, above all, increasing environmental problems, solar energy is becoming an increasingly important source of renewable energy. Ekstrand & Son AB has now decided to invest in solar cells. These are three photovoltaic plants that will be built this autumn and are estimated to provide 336,000 kW per year. With energy-efficient construction and passive house-certified windows and doors from Ekstrands, it can provide heating and household electricity to around 50 villas.

The solar cell facilities are being built on the roofs of Ekstrand's head office and exhibition, as well as at Osby Lärcenter and Osby Bowlingcenter.

Ekstrands has chosen to buy these three facilities from three different local players to contribute to increased competence and experience of solar cell expansion from as many local suppliers as possible. This is to encourage continued investment by others, both companies and private home and property owners, in the future technology that solar cells are.

Partners will be Electrical Installations in Osby AB, Oredssons Elektriska AB and German Solar AB in Hästveda. All three companies are happy to supply solar cells to both private property owners and companies.
